SPR Construction won the tender for an extensive renovation to our house involving the remodelling of the centre of the dwelling. This extensive job was an architect design which doubled the size of the kitchen, construction of a new laundry and the fabrication and installation of specially designed cabinetry.

On paper, this renovation would make the house unlivable however, a clever work schedule and an impeccable attention to keeping the site clean enabled our family to remain in the home during the works.

Steve Rees and his team applied an extraordinarily high level of trade skill to take the modern design brief and make it work perfectly in what is an old house. They did this with disarming ease. So much so that we were unaware of the many structural challenges involved until Steve pointed them out to us. Importantly, he put forward the solutions immediately. Significantly, SPR’s quote for the job accounted for the challenges and as such, the only variations to the contract were those additional items we requested to be included.

Our family entertains on almost every week-end of the year and the new kitchen and living area, complete with a six metre glass panel overlooking the back garden have made our social events at home very special.

Steve’s meticulous planning meant that all ancilliary trades were on time, on budget and just as neat as SPR whilst on our property.This meant the entire job started and finished when it was supposed to.

We find it impossible to imagine how we will cope with the next renovation if SPR are unavailable. With the high quality they deliver, we are certain SPR will be very busy for a long time into the future.

SPR Constructions recently built a two storey garage and self-contained unit at the back of our house. This building looks and feels fantastic. Steve and Brendan started on time and worked routinely every day to keep on schedule.The result was that they finished right on the day they promised.

The workmanship was very impressive from these experienced builders. They discussed faults made in the plans with me, then corrected them for a functional outcome. Everything from the slab right down to the tiling and painting was done to a high quality finish. All the associated tradesman like their plasterer, the plumber, the electrician, and especially the painters really knew their business.

I would highly recommend anyone to use these guys as it was building like it should be. The price was very reasonable especially considering the quality of the finish. The quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. Have a look at the photos.
